Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to legally possess a firearm and ammunition.
• Background check and pre-employment exams required.
• Overtime and weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inmates/offenders in a wide variety of situations and activities.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations governing inmates/offenders.
• Document inmate/offender behavior, status and movement.
• Search inmates'/offenders' person, quarters and work areas for contraband.
• Operate or monitor security equipment to maintain controlled movement of inmates/offenders, staff and public.
• Oversee housing areas, sanitation, meals, laundry inventories, supplies, etc.
