Qualifications

• This position requires five years of experience in a correctional, behavioral, or penal institution with responsibility for security, custody, rehabilitation, or classification of offenders, or in law enforcement or security with one of the following options.
• Two years of this experience must have been in a position equivalent in scope of responsibility or complexity of work performed to a Corrections Captain in State service.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Weekend Duty Officer for the entire prison on a rotating basis.
• Manages and directs subordinate uniformed personnel, including Lieutenant Colonel, Majors, Captains, Lieutenants, and Correctional Officers.
• Reviews disciplinary action and address inmate and staff grievances.
