Job summary

The North Carolina Department of Adult Correction seeks a Program Coordinator II (NS) at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg, NC. You will oversee classification and related program operations for a facility housing up to 1,800 male offenders, reporting to the Associate Warden for Programs.

Responsibilities include supervising the classification process, staff training, and preparation for hearings, with opportunities to influence custody and program outcomes within a state-wide

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience must meet vacancy requirements.
• KSAs not required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Chair the Facility Classification Committee and supervise offender job and program assignments.
• Oversee transfer operations and supervise the records office.
• Train institution staff on classification issues and procedures.
• Coordinate and prepare presentations for Director's Classification Committee hearings.
• Assign Case Managers to offenders and conduct periodic audits of case management operations.
• Supervise the classification process regarding custody and control status reviews.
