The role involves collaboration with custody and medical staff, documentation, and staff supervision. The position requires a Master’s in a behavioral or social science, active licensure in the state, CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral or social science field from an accredited college or university.
• Current licensure with clinical specialty in the state licensing board.
• CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained.
• Hands-on or online certifications accepted.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
• Ability to practice independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified by prescreening.
• Provide individual and group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
• Assist custody and medical staff in monitoring behavioral health for detainees.
• Coordinate with custody and medical staff in management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
• Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
• Complete documentation and maintain records for referral tracking and CQI.
• Supervise direct reports and conduct quarterly coaching.
• Partner with medical staff to facilitate teamwork and organizational goals.
• Ensure policies and procedures are accessible for behavioral health staff.
