Responsibilities also include functioning as a lead worker with limited supervisory duties. There is only one position at each institution or facility at this level.**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies**:Knowledge of modern principles, practices and materials in the specialized field of education; of school administration principles and practices; of the content matter in the area of instruction; of accepted methods of teaching incarcerated students; and of evaluating critically and objectively the educational needs and achievements of the students.Required Abilities: Ability is required to supervise staff and instruct incarcerated students; to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with others; to organize and present facts and opinions clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; to maintain discipline in the facility education unit.
