Qualifications

• Associate’s degree AND four years' experience as a Correctional Deputy or comparable experience (e.g., military, hospital security, jail/prison, police).
• Bachelor's Degree AND minimum two years' experience as a Correctional Deputy.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience equal to or exceeding 6 years, with two years as a Correctional Deputy.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of the division's staff and inmate operations.
• Coordinate assignment and scheduling of division personnel.
• Identify staff training needs and development opportunities; make recommendations to the division Captain.
• Review reports for accuracy and policy adherence.
• Represent the Sheriff's Office in meetings, trainings, and public engagements.
