MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) in Lexington County Detention Center seeks an RN II to provide nursing care using the nursing process, lead a care team, and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff in a secure correctional setting.

The position offers day shift 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with hourly pay and benefits including health, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in South Carolina or a compact state.
• Minimum of one year of RN experience.
• Bachelor of Nursing preferred; pursuing BSN acceptable if enrolled.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process in a correctional setting.
• Direct and lead assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; provide health teaching.
• Respond to emergencies within the secure perimeter; maintain safety protocols.
• Maintain documentation and ensure PREA compliance.
• Coordinate with correctional officers for safe inmate movement.
