VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS), a leader in correctional health care, invites applications for Registered Nurse positions at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna, DE.

Full-Time Day, Night Shift, and PRN roles available, with shift differentials and a requirement to be available for onsite training of 3–6 weeks. RN candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold active RN licensure in the state of employment, and possess CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Possesses an active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions and side effects.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' condition.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
• Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
• Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel when needed.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatments.
• Instruct individuals and groups on health education and disease prevention.
