Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C. (PAGNY) for CHS of NYC Health + Hospitals seeks a full-time psychiatrist to deliver high-quality mental health care to inmates on Rikers Island under Medical Director oversight.

The role includes admissions evaluations, follow-ups, and urgent consultations within a multi-disciplinary team. Correctional settings experience is not required, but collaboration with security and medical staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist
• Experience in correctional settings not required
• Strong collaboration with medical and security staff

Responsabilités

• Provide psychiatric care including admission evaluations, follow-ups, urgent and emergent consultations for incarcerated individuals.
• Offer psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic interventions under supervision.
• Document activities in the EMR in a timely, concise manner.
• Provide clinical supervision as needed for trainees and physician assistants.
