Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced investigator to conduct PREA-related investigations at our Texas facility. The role responds to potential crime scenes, prepares reports, and ensures compliance with PREA standards and DHS guidelines.

You will collaborate with PSA Compliance Administrator, GEO OPR, and other departments, conduct interviews, gather facts, and write clear findings. High school diploma and 4 years in corrections required; training in PREA and related certifications

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED certificate.
• Four years of experience in a correctional setting, with two years of progressively responsible investigative experience.
• Ability to write reports and present findings clearly.
• Knowledge of PREA preferred.
• Ability to work independently or with others.
• Willingness to obtain training/certifications (CPR, First Aid, firearms).

Responsibilities

• Conducts investigative reports by determining appropriate information, interviewing, researching, and other necessary duties to fully understand the nature of the event.
• Writes reports that explain findings using PREA standards.
• Recommends appropriate action if necessary.
• Acts as liaison between Contract Compliance PREA section and other departments in coordination with PSA Compliance Administrator.
• Consults with Corporate PREA team and OPR to ensure investigations are thoroughly completed in accordance to established PREA policies.
• Works closely with the facility PSA Compliance Administrator and facility PREA response team.
• Participates in Sexual Abuse Incident Reviews and After Action Reviews as required by established policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
