Responsibilities

• Receives eight weeks of formalized pre-service security training at the Illinois Corrections Training Academy including firearms training.
• Undergoes on-the-job training with supervision, rotating to assist in lines, yard, dining, housing, and security tasks.
• Completes one-week facility orientation and learns housing unit operations, report writing, and disciplinary procedures.
• Performs other duties within the scope of the listed duties.
