Job summary

CoreCivic is hiring a Correctional Officer to provide security, care and direct supervision of inmates/residents in housing units, meals, recreation and work assignments in a correctional facility.

You may be assigned to armory, housing, kitchen, medical or visitation posts; you must be able to work any shift and meet training requirements, including potential licensing costs covered by us.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Paid training provided; non-commissioned security officer license may be covered.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Work varied posts and shifts including armory, housing, kitchen, medical, and visitation.
• Support veterans in applying and recognize military service for related roles.
