Qualifications

• Graduation from high school, GED, or equivalency.
• All applicants must be able to successfully pass: Psychological tests, a background investigation check, a post-offer health screen, and a urinalysis screen.
• Designated positions in this job class require applicants to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and endorsements within a determined period.

Responsibilities

• Observes incarcerated individual behavior and interactions; documents observations to ensure security and consistent application of change principles.
• Interacts with incarcerated individuals to develop problem-solving skills and pro-social behaviors; provides positive reinforcement and corrective measures.
• Patrols facilities, conducts rounds and counts; inspects for safety and security deficiencies.
• Conducts searches of individuals, vehicles, packages, and cells for contraband; educates inmates on rules and expectations.
