Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a dedicated Correctional Officer in Nicholls, GA to supervise and care for inmates within a secure facility. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work various posts and shifts.

Qualifications

• Have a high school diploma, GED certification or equivalent.
• We train you to be successful: Paid training, and where applicable, be a non-commissioned security officer licensed by the state of employment (we pay the cost for you).
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Can demonstrate the ability to complete any required training.
• Are available to work any hours, any shift.
• Are at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and security of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Work any shift and various posts including armory, housing units, kitchen, medical, visitation, etc.
