Under general supervision, incumbents perform functions related to the incarceration and care of inmates during a shift. In addition to base pay, incentive pay is offered to qualified applicants, including graduation or GED, training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid California Class C driver's license required.
  • Duties involve supervising inmates and maintaining safety during a shift.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and assist inmates during shifts.
  • Maintain order and safety in custody situations.
  • Prepare and write incident and shift reports.

Job description

Salary listed does not include incentives, some of which are listed below:

Incentive Pay
  • Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Sufficient training and/or experience conducive to the skills and abilities listed below.
  • In addition, candidates must possess and retain a valid California Class C driver's license as a condition of employment.
