Job summary

Placer County in California is hiring Correctional Officers I and II for the Auburn Jail Facility or the South Placer Jail Facility. Qualified applicants will undergo a thorough background investigation to meet high standards of character, honesty and work ethic, serving the community with a positive attitude.

Position Information

Salary: $67,475.20 - $92,892.80

Correctional Officer - I #2025-16330-01

Correctional Officer - II #2025-16331-01

Positions may be assigned to either the Auburn Jail Facility or the South Placer Jail Facility. Qualified applicants will undergo an extensive background investigation to determine if they meet the high standards set by the Sheriff's Office in the areas including, but not limited to: high moral character, honesty, and exemplary work ethic. The Sheriff's Office also highly values those with a positive attitude toward fellow workers and the community they will be serving.

This continuous recruitment will remain open for the calendar year, or until the final filing date, whichever occurs first. The eligible list established from this continuous recruitment will expire by the end of the calendar year. Applicants will be eligible to reapply and take an examination if a new recruitment opens the following calendar year.
