Virginia Department of Corrections is seeking a Registered Nurse I for Green Rock Correctional Center in Virginia. The role provides comprehensive 24-hour nursing care, telemedicine, chronic care clinics, and emergency coverage within an adult correctional setting.

The position offers an annual salary range of $83,496 - $107,023 with a full-time schedule. A Virginia RN license and BLS certification are required on hire; experience in corrections is a plus.

Qualifications

Valid unrestricted Virginia RN license (NCLEX allowed if recent graduate).
Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care within adult correctional facilities using the nursing process.
Document health information in the health record and coordinate with other departments as needed.
Possibility to be assigned to other duties/locations to meet institutional needs.
