Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, ambulatory care to inmate patients.
• Assess mental and physical health status based on presenting symptoms.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address patient needs.
• Prescribe medications within state regulations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans.

Skills

Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and decision-making skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Basic computer proficiency and accurate electronic documentation skills

Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice

Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice

Current DEA, CDS, and DEA-X licenses
