Under the supervision of the Chief Nurse Executive, the Nurse Instructor develops and evaluates training, mentors staff, and coordinates orientation for new employees to support high-quality health care in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, assess and evaluate training and competency programs for all nursing personnel.
• Coordinate orientation programs for new employees and advance ongoing education.
• Promote efficient, cost-effective use of health care resources and adherence to policies/procedures.
