Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies seeks a Mental Health Coordinator (LCSW, LPC) to oversee behavioral health services inside a Chesapeake correctional facility. You will provide clinical leadership, supervise BH staff, coordinate patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and liaise between facility leadership and the mental health team.

Applicants need a Master's in a behavioral health field and Virginia licensure (LCSW, LPC, or Psychologist).

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Virginia licensure as LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist.
• Previous behavioral health experience required.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Correctional, forensic, or community mental health experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as point of contact for administrative staff for treatment unit programs and problem resolution.
• Coordinate development and revision of policies for identified clinical services for inmates.
• Supervise planning, development and implementation of contracted treatment programs.
• Provide clinical/administrative supervision to Behavioral Health Services staff.
• Monitor Behavioral Health Services for timely, professional services.
• Provide on-call duties and direct clinical services (individual/group, crisis intervention).
• Ensure programs are integrated and appropriately staffed.
• Provide admin support to BH staff and coordinate with Quality Improvement program.
