NaphCare, Inc. seeks an experienced Independent Mental Health Professional to join our team at the San Diego County Jails in San Diego, CA.

The role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating inmates with mental health needs and co-occurring disorders, delivering individual and group therapy, and coordinating care with a multi-disciplinary team. You will maintain clinical records, respond to crises, and ensure compliance with ACA/NCCHC standards while supporting reentry planning and patient

Qualificações

• Master's prepared degree in counseling, social work, psychology or related field.
• Active, unrestricted licensure as an Independent in CA (LCSW/LCMHC/LMFT/LMHP/LISW/LPCC, etc.).
• Active BLS CPR Certification (AHA).
• Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in mental health care or acute care; correctional healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders; discharge planning and psychotropic meds.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct mental health evaluations, including psychosocial histories and testing; identify needs and risks.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with various therapeutic approaches.
• Provide individual counseling and facilitate group therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse.
• Manage a caseload of inmates; coordinate care with other professionals; ensure continuity of care.
• Respond to and manage mental health crises; provide stabilization.
• Collaborate with inmates, correctional staff, and community resources for reentry planning.
• Work with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and staff for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, progress notes, and required documentation.
