UTMB Health Correctional Managed Care enlists a licensed mental health professional to provide comprehensive evaluation and therapeutic interventions for patients within secure facilities. You will work under supervision with Psychologists, Mental Health Managers, and/or Program Directors, contributing to the quality of care in a correctional environment.

The role encompasses individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, care planning, staff training, and coordination with families

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, or Social Worker.

Responsabilités

• Interviews, evaluates and diagnoses patients identified as having mental health needs.
• Provides individual and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
• Develops, implements and reviews Individual Treatment Plans.
• Assists with training and education of mental health, medical and other staff.
• completes clinically appropriate and timely documentation.
• Liaises with patient families, on-site departments and community agencies to coordinate current treatment and aftercare services.
