Job summary

UTMB Health Correctional Managed Care in Texas provides mental health evaluation and therapeutic interventions to inmates and detained youths. You will work under supervision of psychologists and program directors to deliver therapy, crisis intervention, and treatment planning within a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Professional Counselor, Psychological Associate, or Social Worker.
• Salary is commensurate with years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview, evaluate, and diagnose patients with mental health needs.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy and crisis intervention.
• Develop and review Individual Treatment Plans.
• Coordinate with staff and agencies for aftercare services.
• Document clinically and timely; support quality improvement.
