Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, NH State Prison for Men, Concord, NH, seeks a Media Generalist II to manage day-to-day operations of law and general libraries for inmates. You will supervise staff, coordinate library services, and ensure security and compliance with court guidelines.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after completion of high school.
• One year of supervisory or management level experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of correctional system law libraries and two satellite libraries for inmates.
• Provide direct library services to inmates and ensure compliance with court-mandated guidelines.
• Evaluate, select, and purchase legal materials and a wide range of books and magazines.
• Maintain accurate records of library materials and schedules to maximize space and time usage.
• Supervise library staff and inmate workers, and provide training and education.
• Complete duties including high school equivalency classroom instruction when required.
