Job summary

Lake Land College is seeking an instructor to teach courses and labs in the Horticulture Certificate program. You will prepare guides, coordinate with instructors, and manage course materials; you will ensure attendance, grades, and participation align with college procedures.

The role requires collaboration with the Associate Dean and other faculty, on-site presence, and active student support to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Teaching experience in horticulture preferred.
• Knowledge of greenhouse operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and labs in the Horticulture Certificate program.
• Prepare or revise guides for courses and submit to Administrator for review.
• Submit purchase orders for instructional materials and supplies to the Associate Dean for approval.
• Report attendance and grades as prescribed by the Associate Dean.
• Attend faculty meetings called by administrative officers.
• Be on site for 37.5 hours per week (30 minute lunch).
• Assist in registration as needed.
• Support students by addressing needs and referring to college services.
