Staff Today Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant/Correctional Health Technician (MA/CHT) for a Phoenix, AZ assignment.

The role involves providing patient care within MA scope under supervision, preparing patients for exams, taking histories and vitals, and performing procedures and tests in a correctional health setting. The position requires AZ license/certification, a high school diploma or GED, and current BLS/First Aid; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• AZ license/certification in good standing as required for MA/CHT role.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate of completion from an MA accredited Health Care Training Program per ARS 32-1456 etc.
• N95 respirator fit testing current.
• First Aid Certification current.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties within the MA scope of practice under the direct supervision of medical or nursing personnel.
• Completes required documentation in the electronic health record or other modality.
• Prepares patients for examination and treatment; records histories, vitals, and chief complaints.
• Performs office procedures, tests, and examinations.
• Maintains adequate supplies for exam/procedure rooms.
• Transcribes provider orders, schedules return appointments.
• Administers injections, immunizations, and TB tests per protocol.
• Performs venipunctures and lab tests.
• Conducts general office duties including copying, filing, scanning, scheduling, and document preparation.
• Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills and MS Office.
