Job summary

Prismhr Hire in Yazoo City, Mississippi seeks a Board-certified General Practice physician to join a correctional healthcare program. The role requires active medical licensure and at least one year of direct clinical experience, with authority to prescribe opioid use disorder medications.

Duties include providing comprehensive medical services within federal/state policy frameworks, adhering to AAAHC and ACA standards for adult correctional facilities. Hours are weekdays 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Board certification or equivalent experience in General Practice.
• Minimum one year of direct patient care experience.
• Full medical licensure as required by law.
• Ability to prescribe opioid use disorder medications.
• Knowledge of ACA, AAAHC, DOJ, BOP policies for correctional care.
• CPR certification per ARC/AAHA/ACLS standards.
• Evidence of immunity to TB or other communicable diseases.
• Proficiency with computers, word processing, and basic office duties.
