Applicants must graduate from an accredited NP/PA program and hold current licenses in the state. Prior correctional experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• Must possess current licenses or certifications in state of employment.
• Experience in correctional health care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies in the facility.
• Identify patient health problems and prescribe treatment under physician supervision.
• Implement medical care using physician-approved regimens.
• Provide education to inmates, healthcare staff, and correctional staff.
• Document all healthcare contacts and adhere to safety and security policies.
