Job summary

Roadrunner Health Services in Utah seeks a Medical Aide/CNA to assist in correctional care. Under the Staff Nurse, administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and document effectiveness while safeguarding patient safety.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, Medical Aide cert with med administration, CNA cert, TB and CPR, and ideally 1 year in acute, emergency, or correctional settings. Will work closely with custody staff to provide compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Aide cert with med administration approval required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification required.
• One year experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and documents effects per policy.
• Performs routine phlebotomy and lab management tasks.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status.
• Support feeding, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Coordinate care with custody staff while maintaining boundaries.
• Observe and report medication interactions or adverse effects.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy.
• Maintain secure medication storage and accountability.
• Participate in team-based patient treatment and management.
• Adhere to OSHA and infection control standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
