NaphCare is hiring a Dentist to join our team at the San Diego Central Jail in San Diego, California. As a Correctional Dentist, you will work with correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive dental care to incarcerated individuals in a controlled environment.

The role emphasizes quality care, patient rights, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to meet complex dental needs within the facility.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree required and valid license in the state.
• Current BLS CPR certification and DEA registration.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and provide preventive dental care.
• Create treatment plans and perform procedures incl. extractions/restorations.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and maintain records.
• Perform exams, radiographs, and emergency dental care as needed.
• Supervise dental staff and ensure sterilization protocols.
