Job summary

FirstClass Healthcare in Atlanta-based organization seeks a Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to patients in a correctional setting in Savannah, GA. Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of dental medicine
• One (1) year of general dentistry experience
• Must have and maintain current dental licensure within the State of Georgia
• Must have and maintain a current DEA registration
• Must have or attain a BLS Certification prior to the first day of employment
• Experience in correctional medicine is preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs dental care and treatment, conducts dental exams, reviews medical histories, and evaluates symptoms to patients.
• Performs routine cleanings, restorations, and extractions as needed.
• Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and utilizes standard precautions when delivering dental care.
• Supervises staff, coordinates daily operations and addresses patient and staffing needs.
• Documents all dental services provided to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and policies.
• Ensures sterilization and disinfection of equipment.
• May provide in-service training to healthcare staff on dental hygiene, dental care, dental emergencies, and treatment techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support FCH's goals, objectives and values.
