Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school and three years experience in a correctional, parole and probation, or comparable setting conducting casework services and investigations and preparing detailed reports for rehabilitation, program development, and program services.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of journey level Correctional Officer experience in Nevada State service performing post assignments requiring substantial interaction with inmates.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and classify inmates within State correctional facilities; maintain records on personal data, legal history, and program needs.
• Prepare parole progress reports and information on inmate history, legal status, and sentence progress.
• Coordinate movement, housing assignments, and day-to-day operations related to inmate custody and program participation.
