Job summary

MindCare Solutions is seeking Licensed Mental Health Providers (LCSW, LPCC) for a Correctional LMHP role in McFarland, CA. The position supports both part-time and full-time schedules in a hybrid work arrangement, with compensation up to $60 per hour depending on contract type.

You will conduct assessments, develop and update treatment plans, deliver individual and group therapy, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCSW, LPCC) in the CA.
• Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient experience preferred).
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicide prevention.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet all facility credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for incarcerated individuals.

• Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
• Perform crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments and safety planning.

• Ensure compliance with correctional healthcare regulations and policies.

• Maintain professional boundaries and safety in the correctional environment.

Position Summary

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intake screenings, risk evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations for incarcerated individuals.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Provide individual and group therapy services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting interventions as clinically appropriate.
• Perform crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
• Collaborate with medical staff, correctional officers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge/reentry planning.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, including those specific to correctional healthcare.
• Provide psychoeducation to patients regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and medication adherence (as applicable).
• Support continuity of care by coordinating with community providers upon release.
• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to safety protocols within the correctional environment.
