Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Corps Program Assistant in Bullhead City to support the Corps Officer and program delivery. This full-time, 40-hour weekly role involves coordinating Sunday School, Bible Study, youth programs, family services, and community outreach, while maintaining budgets and records.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma (some college preferred), familiarity with Salvation Army policies, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Salvation Army soldier in good standing.
• High School Diploma required.
• Some college coursework strongly preferred.
• Experience with Salvation Army programming and terminology.
• Familiar with Salvation Army policies and procedures.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and drive the small bus and 12 passenger van.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
• Maintain and Protect the Mission certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Corps Officer with Corps programs including, but not limited to: Sunday School, Preach, Fellowship events.
• Lead youth programs as needed.
• Recruit and Train Corp members for special events and volunteer opportunities.
• Coordinate van routes for pickups for programs.
• Assist in Thanksgiving food distribution.
• Coordinate Christmas Kettle Program.
• Assist with Christmas Assistance Program.
• Help coordinate Fundraisers for Corps events.
• Work with Corps Officer on neighborhood outreach.
• Maintain the fiscal integrity of the Corps including record keeping and security.
• Maintain stewardship of funds, property, and resources.
• Provide and submit statistical data and reports as required.
• Familiarization with Corps budget, finance & accounting procedures, and business administration.

• Act as a Salvation Army representative to all community functions as assigned by the Corps Officer(s).
• Provide and maintain statistical data and prepare and submit reports as required.
• Familiarization with Corps budget, finance & accounting procedures, and business administration.
