Prime Healthcare is seeking a Vice President of Pharmacy Services to design and implement delivery of pharmacy services, improve clinical outcomes, and contribute to the organization’s financial goals. This role requires leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and successful onboarding of acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Pharmacy or related field.
• Current state pharmacist license.
• 5+ years hospital management experience.
• 3+ years acute care pharmacy experience.
• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Creation and oversight of policies, procedures and best practices related to pharmacy operations.
• Develops and maintains programs for auditing and inspecting pharmacies on performance and compliance of policy, to ensure quality patient care, and to meet regulatory and accreditation standard requirements.
• Works closely with the Pharmacy Directors to support business needs and maintain compliant operational with a focus on patient care.
• Leads regularly scheduled Clinical and Operational meetings to ensure current regulations, training and new drug therapy information is disseminated effectively to the staff, including monitoring of all manufacturer requirements of participation in FDA programs, drug recall reporting, and other industry related information.
• Will meet with and evaluate vendors to secure and maintain contracts, equipment and supplies which are required to carry out effective patient care
• Serves as a consultant to all pharmacy directors within the system to maintain safe and optimal pharmacy operations.
• Manages and develops relationships with healthcare partners including their executive teams as well as the operations and technology teams.
• Designing and implementing future-state business workflows by interacting with business department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design
• Works with CIO, Epic Project Director and Epic Willow team. Performs complex analysis, design, development, testing and support services for assigned one or more applications.
• Ensures new acquisitions are successfully onboarded into pharmacy services operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job description

The Vice President of Pharmacy Services is responsible for facilitating the design and implementation of the delivery of pharmacy services, developing and recommending strategies to improve services and clinical outcomes, reaching established goals, maintaining satisfactory outcomes and contributing to the business plans and financial goals of the organization. The individual will be responsible and accountable for ensuring company compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy rules and regulations, maintenance of all company required certifications and accreditations.

In this role, you'd be responsible for:

Please note: this role is required at our corporate office in Ontario, CA. This role is not offered remote.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or related area required.
• Current state Registered Pharmacy license.
• 5+ years of management experience within a hospital environment required.
• 3+ years of acute care Pharmacy experience required.
• Exceptional communication skills / professional presence with ability to lead and drive change on a national scale.

Preferred qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree preferred.
• MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
• Residency preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $320,000.00 to $400,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure. Additionally, employees in this position may be eligible to participate in the Company’s annual discretionary bonus program. Discretionary bonuses, if any, are based on a number of factors, which include but are not limited to individual and Company performance.
