About The Role
Summary

The Corporate Treasurer will have oversight responsibility for asset-liability management, liquidity, funding, capital, interest rate risk, and investments. Plays a leading role in contingency funding and stress testing. This senior leadership role develops and executes strategies that optimize earnings performance while maintaining prudent risk management and regulatory compliance. Serves as a key advisor to executive management, the Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), and the Board of Directors regarding balance sheet positioning, capital adequacy, funding strategies, and market conditions. Manages the Treasury team and the Mortgage Lock Desk. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

This is a Corporate position that is located in Kalispell, MT. All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to geographic location, years of experience, and educational background.

Description
  • Oversight of liquidity, funding, and collateral management. Responsible for maintaining contingency funding sources and liquidity stress testing.
  • Lead capital planning, adequacy assessments, and capital stress testing. Develop capital management strategies that support growth while maintaining appropriate regulatory capital levels.
  • Direct the company's investment activities including strategy development and execution.
  • Recommend hedging strategies and balance sheet actions to manage interest rate risk and ensure alignment with risk appetite and earnings objectives.
  • Oversight of ALM modeling, assumptions, data acquisition, integrity testing, and analysis. Review model inputs and outputs to ensure data integrity and accuracy of results. Maintain robust model documentation, procedures, and controls.
  • Participate in strategic planning and financial forecasting. Support merger, acquisition, and strategic growth initiatives through financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Direct the preparation of financial reports related to all areas of responsibility; prepare and present comprehensive reporting to ALCO, management, and the board.
  • Lead and develop Treasury personnel, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure policy and regulatory compliance in all areas of responsibility.
  • Leading role in ALCO committee and ALCO sub-committees; participation in various other management committees.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, departments, and divisions. Interface with regulators, counterparties, and third-party vendors. Support examinations, audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Support investor relations efforts. Communicate company performance and initiatives with investors and equity analysts.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.
About You
Education
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Preferred: A Master's degree in a related field, CFA certification, or graduation from a recognized banking program such as Pacific Coast Banking School is preferred.
Experience
  • Required: A minimum of 15 years similar or related experience.
  • Required: Knowledge of Financial principles and regulatory requirements of the banking industry.
  • Required: Experience with capital planning, liquidity risk management, investment portfolio management, hedging, and loan & deposit pricing strategies.
  • Required: Experience with IRR model development and capital stress testing.
  • Required: Experience developing scenario analysis, financial forecasts, and budgets.
  • Required: Experience presenting to executive management and management committees.
  • Preferred: Background in bank data processing systems.

Additional Requirements
Travel

Up to 15% travel required: (e.g. 3.5 days/month) by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Travel will be necessary to conduct the duties of this job, and the employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and may vary based on the geographic location of the position.
