Job Overview

As the Corporate Tax Director, you will lead tax planning, compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting projects for multiple clients within our Corporate Tax Solutions Family. You will collaborate with other tax specialists to provide innovative consulting and support the firm’s growth through client engagement and business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise client services teams, planning, executing, and completing tax projects across a variety of industries.
  • Provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; market, sell, and design tax‑planning strategies.
  • Drive firm profitability by leveraging an external network, achieving sales targets, and identifying new service opportunities.
  • Participate in business development and professional community events to enhance personal and firm brand.
  • Manage engagement fundamentals: realization, utilization, leverage, accounts receivable, and expenses.
  • Develop, train, mentor staff on tax projects and conduct performance assessments for engagement and year‑end reviews.
  • Review complex tax returns and ASC 740 provision engagements, ensuring accuracy and identifying tax savings.
  • Research and advise on various tax matters.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and collaborate with client staff at all levels.
  • Understand client operations, processes, and objectives to apply knowledge to engagements.
  • Attend professional development and training sessions regularly.
  • Adhere to professional standards and maintain strict client confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD preferred.
  • Minimum five to seven years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
  • CPA or JD/active law license required.
  • Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong experience in corporate income tax and ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, corporate income tax laws, and tax technology.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of state and local income taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
  • Exceptional client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred.
  • Strong teamwork, analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
Compensation

The base salary range for this position is between $197,800 and $255,904, determined by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business needs, geographic location, and internal equity.
