Turn this role into an interview — a resume and cover letter built around what this employer wants.
Ford Energy seeks an experienced Project Manager to coordinate the systems and business platforms outside core SAP/Salesforce delivery. You will drive undefined initiatives, define scope, and coordinate stakeholders to turn ambiguity into actionable plans in a fast-scaling, matrixed environment.
You will follow leadership decisions, track action items to closure, and maintain governance reporting through RAID logs and steering materials.
As the Project Manager, Corporate Systems & Business Platforms, you will serve as an individual-contributor partner to the Head of Corporate Systems & Business Platforms, helping coordinate and drive the systems, processes, and initiatives that fall outside the core SAP and Salesforce delivery teams. It is a hands-on coordination and execution role for someone who thrives on influence without authority and getting things done across a fast-scaling, matrixed organization.
You will be the connective tissue of the organization: turning ambiguity into scoped plans, driving cross-functional issues to closure, and ensuring decisions and commitments made by leadership are never dropped.
Own the intake and stand-up of new, undefined initiatives before they have an owner, a plan, or a process - including new reporting requirements, governance processes that don’t yet exist, architecture gaps identified by the Enterprise Architecture team, data ownership questions, and operational readiness initiatives.
Define scope: Frame problem statements, objectives, and boundaries for newly identified needs.
Identify stakeholders: Determine who needs to be at the table and bring them in.
Create plans: Build lightweight project plans, timelines, and success criteria.
Drive meetings: Run working sessions and keep initiatives moving between check-ins.
Escalate issues: Surface blockers and risks to leadership before they become fire drills.
Act as the safety net for commitments made in leadership forums - including action items from leadership discussions, decisions from workshops, cross-functional risks, and dependency management.
Make sure things don’t get dropped: Track open items to closure, chase owners, and report status back to leadership.
Maintain the operating rhythm and visibility tools that keep the organization’s leader and stakeholders informed - including the RAID log, status updates, steering committee materials, and portfolio visibility.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: 6+ years in program/project coordination, software engineer, or a similar cross-functional individual-contributor role within a complex, matrixed organization (commensurate with GSR 7-8 level).
Enterprise Systems Fluency: Working knowledge of ERP (SAP preferred) and CRM (Salesforce preferred) environments, including how master data, integrations, and governance decisions affect the business.
Organizational Agility: Demonstrated ability to stand up structure - scope, plans, stakeholders, and cadence - for ambiguous, undefined initiatives.
Influence & Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to drive alignment across teams and represent the leader’s priorities without direct authority.
Execution Discipline: Proven track record of tracking issues, decisions, and action items to closure in a fast-paced environment.
PMO Toolset: Hands-on experience maintaining RAID logs, steering committee materials, and portfolio reporting.
Governance Background: Experience designing or standing up governance processes (data ownership, master data governance, architecture review) from scratch.
Startup Mindset: Comfort building process and structure from scratch within a larger corporate parent.
Manufacturing/Energy Exposure: Familiarity with manufacturing, energy, or other complex operational environments.
A trusted individual contributor who can act as an extension of leadership - detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable holding others accountable on the leader’s behalf without having direct authority or people-management responsibility.
