Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years safety experience; or 15 years in lieu of degree.
• Experience leading corporate, regional, or multi-site safety programs.
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety, environmental, DOT, risk-management, insurance, client, and company requirements.
• Experience directing investigations, incident reviews, reporting, trend analysis, and corrective-action closure.
• Excellent organization, independent judgment, effective delegation, and credibility with field employees and senior leadership.
• Availability for routine travel to Bengal offices and active projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate safety program across Bengal's operating groups.
• Translate policy and regulatory requirements into practical operating procedures and site-specific safety plans.
• Clarify safety responsibilities and enforce policy across teams.
• Direct incident investigations, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and claims coordination.
• Oversee inspections, environmental reviews, and reporting; liaise with regulators and insurers.
• Direct routine safety reporting and monitor incident trends to improve performance.
• Develop training, orientation, and compliance readiness, including drug and alcohol testing coordination.
• Lead the Safety Department, plan staffing and budget.
