Position Overview

The Corporate Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and mitigating internal and external risks that could impact the company's operational, financial, safety, and legal integrity. This role will play a critical part in protecting company assets, managing insurance programs, supporting contract review, and promoting a risk-aware culture throughout the organization. The ideal candidate has experience in construction risk management, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of insurance, contractual obligations, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Insurance & Claims Management
  • Manage all aspects of corporate insurance programs (general liability, workers’ comp, auto, builders’ risk, pollution, professional liability, etc.).
  • Work with brokers and underwriters to optimize coverage and cost.
  • Oversee claims processing, investigations, and negotiations in coordination with legal counsel and third-party administrators.
  • Review contracts, subcontracts, and project documents to identify and mitigate risk exposures.
  • Collaborate with legal and project teams to ensure favorable terms and compliance with risk management policies.
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure company compliance with customer insurance requirements, including OCIP and CCIP projects.
  • Ensure all subcontractors meet necessary insurance requirements
  • Identify operational, financial, contractual, and safety risks across projects and business units.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
Business Continuity Planning
  • Lead the development and implementation of business continuity and emergency response plans.
  • Coordinate risk audits and prepare documentation for regulatory or insurer inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of risk management experience in the construction or engineering industry,
  • Strong knowledge of construction insurance, bonding, and contractual risk.
  • Familiarity with construction law, safety regulations, and project delivery methods.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with risk management tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ARM, CRM, CPCU, or other risk-related certifications preferred.
