Job summary

GHX Industrial is seeking a Quality, Safety & Compliance Auditor to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of our quality, safety, and compliance programs across all locations. This field-based role partners with branch management and corporate teams to ensure standards are documented and sustained with significant travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality, safety, operations, manufacturing, industrial distribution, or related fields.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations, inspections, or compliance reviews.
• Strong understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, hose assembly, fluid power, fabrication, or related environments preferred.
• ISO 9001 auditing experience preferred.
• OSHA and workplace safety experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Safety Auditing & Verification: Conduct branch-level safety audits across all operating locations; Evaluate compliance with safety policies and OSHA requirements; Verify implementation of safety programs, trainings, inspections, and corrective actions; Review branch safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement; Follow up on audit findings for timely closure.
• Quality System Auditing: Conduct ISO 9001 internal audits and surveillance activities; Assess branch compliance with quality procedures and documented processes; Support branch preparation for external certification audits; Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action: Lead investigations related to customer complaints, safety incidents, process failures, and quality nonconformances; Facilitate structured problem solving; Develop and track corrective actions; Verify effectiveness and recurrence prevention.
• Supplier & Process Improvement Support: Participate in supplier audits and evaluations; Support vendor qualification; Assist with preventive maintenance verification and process reviews; Identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Training & Implementation Support: Help branches implement quality and safety requirements; Coach managers on audit findings and corrective actions; Support training verification and competency validation; Reinforce ownership of systems.

Job description

The Quality, Safety & Compliance Auditor is responsible for evaluating, auditing, and improving the effectiveness of GHX Industrial's quality, safety, and compliance programs across all operating locations. This position serves as a field-based resource supporting ISO 9001 compliance, safety program implementation, corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role will partner closely with branch management, regional leadership, and the corporate Quality, Safety, and Compliance team to ensure company standards are consistently implemented, documented, and sustained throughout the organization. Significant travel is required.

Role and Responsibilities

Safety Auditing & Verification

• Conduct branch-level safety audits across all operating locations.
• Evaluate compliance with company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and established corporate standards.
• Verify implementation of safety programs, training requirements, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Review branch safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely closure of corrective actions.

Quality System Auditing

• Conduct ISO 9001 internal audits and surveillance activities.
• Assess branch compliance with quality procedures, work instructions, and documented processes.
• Support branch preparation for external certification audits.
• Verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions resulting from audit findings.
Evaluate implementation of quality management system requirements.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action

• Lead investigations related to customer complaints, safety incidents, process failures, and quality nonconformances.
• Facilitate root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Verify effectiveness of implemented actions and prevent recurrence.
• Support branches in documenting and resolving NCRs, CARs, RMAs, and other quality issues.

Supplier & Process Improvement Support

• Participate in supplier audits and supplier performance evaluations.
• Support vendor qualification activities.
• Assist with preventive maintenance verification and process compliance reviews.
• Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for operational improvement.
• Recommend best practices and standardized approaches across locations.

Training & Implementation Support

• Assist branches with implementation of quality and safety requirements.
• Coach branch managers and supervisors on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Support training verification and competency validation activities.
• Reinforce operational ownership of safety and quality systems.
