Job summary

Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP seeks an attorney with 4–6 years of experience to join the Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group in our Houston, TX office. The role focuses on private M&A and private equity deals, with relevant experience in public M&A, securities law, and corporate governance.

The associate will be in person in Houston at least four days per week and should be prepared for a partnership-track path.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in private M&A transactions (class of 2022–2020).
• Experience with private equity transactions is a plus.
• Strong academic record and analytical/writing skills.
• A team player in a collegial professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Join Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions group in Houston as a partnership-track associate.
• Handle private M&A deals and related private equity transactions.

Candidates should have experience primarily in private merger and acquisition transactions, including private equity transactions, while experience in public mergers and acquisition transactions, securities law and corporate governance matters is also relevant. The ideal candidate will also have a strong academic record, exceptional analytical and writing skills and be a true team player prepared to contribute to a collegial professional environment and be in person in the Houston office at least 4 days per week.
