The Corporate Logistics Data Analyst analyzes transportation and supply-chain data to improve cost, service, and operational performance. The role also administers the transportation management system (TMS), supporting configuration, data quality, user access, integrations, and issue resolution.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze transportation, warehouse, order, and financial data to identify trends, exceptions, and improvement opportunities.
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards for metrics such as freight spend, on-time delivery, transit time, tender acceptance, carrier performance, and claims.
- Investigate service and cost variances; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Support freight budgeting, invoice analysis, cost allocation, and savings tracking.
- Administer the TMS, including user roles and permissions, reference data, carrier and service-level records, routing guides, rate tables, and business rules.
- Maintain TMS configuration and workflows; test and document changes before release.
- Monitor TMS integrations and data flows with ERP, warehouse, order-management, carrier, and finance systems; coordinate troubleshooting with IT and vendors.
- Resolve user questions and system issues, document resolutions, and provide training and guidance to TMS users.
- Audit TMS data and transactions for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Partner with transportation, procurement, warehouse, finance, and technology teams on system enhancements and process improvements.
- Present findings and recommendations to operational teams and leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business analytics, information systems, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
- Experience analyzing transportation, logistics, or supply-chain data.
- Experience administering or supporting a TMS, such as maintaining configuration, reference data, user access, or system workflows.
- Proficiency with Excel and Access.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar.
- Experience evaluating, implementing, or integrating AI tools and solutions into logistics or transportation processes.
- Familiarity with ERP, WMS, EDI/API integrations, carrier operations, and freight payment processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar tools.
