Job summary

Legal.io is seeking a senior, hands-on Commercial & M&A Counsel for a 3-month contract to lead drafting and negotiation of complex agreements for a global automotive client.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active US bar membership, and 7–15 years in commercial/M&A at a large firm, with the ability to work autonomously and maintain EST hours. Remote (U.S.) with Southeast Michigan preference.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction are required.
• 7–15 years of experience as a commercial and M&A attorney, with significant large-firm experience.
• Must be able to work autonomously with a consistent EST schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mergers and acquisitions activity and coordinate with stakeholders.
