Job summary

Schreiber Foods is seeking a Corporate Laboratory Technician for its Green Bay, WI home office. You will conduct analytical, microbiological, physical, and applications testing, following tested procedures and safety rules. This on-site role supports R&D, Operations, Quality & Food Safety and customer initiatives.

You will manage samples, data and reporting, and train interns or temporary partners, while upholding safety and quality standards in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Scientific Field required.
• 2+ years Laboratory Experience required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; effective written and verbal communication needed.
• Flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support laboratory sample management: receiving, preparing, storage, and maintenance of samples.
• Coordinate workload with other laboratory partners to meet timelines and customer needs.
• Perform analytical, microbiological, physical, and applications testing per documented methods.
• Manage data quality; prepare reports and documentation as required.
• Provide training for new laboratory interns or temporary partners.
• Assist with investigations, housekeeping, and inventory control as needed.

Job Description

As a Corporate Laboratory Technician, you will be working from the Corporate Laboratory, which is a service organization supporting R&D, Operations, Quality & Food Safety, and customer initiatives. You will be responsible for analytical, microbiological, physical, and applications testing. You should follow good laboratory practices and all Corporate Laboratory safety procedures.

This role is 100% on-site (Monday-Friday) located at our Home Office in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

What you’ll do

• Support laboratory sample management activities; receiving, preparing, storage, and maintenance of laboratory samples.
• Review laboratory requests and coordinate work load with other laboratory partners. Ensure that timelines and customer needs are met.
• Perform analytical, microbiological, physical, and applications testing following documented test methods and procedures with accuracy and precision.
• Support laboratory data management activities; interpret, review, and ensure data quality. Prepare reports and documentation as required while meeting timelines and customer needs.
• Provide training for new laboratory interns or temporary partners.
• Other duties as required (including: Support laboratory investigations, general housekeeping duties in the laboratory, monitor and maintain inventory of supplies and order as needed, etc.).
• Maintain high safety awareness while proactively working in a safe manner adhering to facility and laboratory health and safety policy and procedures.
• Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements.
• Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed

• Associates Degree in Scientific Field
• 2+ years Laboratory Experience
• Ability to work independently and within team environments as well as communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs as required.
• Have computer competencies; minimally Microsoft Word (word processing) and Excel (spreadsheet) skills and knowledge.
• Have a high attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel up to 5% (within and outside of the US)

Travel Requirements

For positions that require any amount of travel: Valid driver's license, auto insurance (at least state minimum- more might be required), acceptable driving record per Schreiber Foods discretion, and vehicle that will ensure applicant can meet the travel necessities of the position are required.
