Job summary

SAA Architects in Irvine seeks an Intermediate Designer to advance design and documentation of interior design projects, focusing on corporate office environments with project-team oversight.

You will work with Revit, AutoCAD and related tools, develop space plans, coordinate with consultants, and ensure code compliance. Strong communication and collaboration are essential.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS and 3–5 years' experience and are motivated to grow within a creative, client-focused firm.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal graphic communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
• Self-starter with initiative; team oriented and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior design tasks under supervision including programming, space planning, pricing plans, design development and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with project team for finish plans, specifications and material selections.
• Assist with code and city requirements and ensure compliance with PM guidance.
• Develop space plans and pricing plans in collaboration with consultants and project team.
• Coordinate with brokers, property managers, contractors and product reps to meet project objectives.
• Maintain client relationships and effective team communication across phases.
• Understand ADA, exiting and building code basics and apply them to projects.
