Job summary

Citi’s Financial Strategy Group (FSG) is Citi’s corporate finance advisory team within the Investment Bank. The IB Analyst will prepare data-driven analytics, presentations, and advisory solutions for Citi’s corporate clients in New York.

The role requires quantitative aptitude, analytical thinking, and interest in corporate finance. You will work with senior bankers on client transactions, organize complex financial data, and build models to support pitches and live deals.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quantitative or financial field with interest in corporate finance.
• Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, and problem solving.
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a rapidly changing environment to meet deadlines.
• Series 79 and 63 required within 150 days of joining.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior bankers and participate in client transactions, projects and assignments as the junior member of the Investment Banking team.
• Organize and analyze sophisticated financial data used in client proposals and strategic plans.
• Prepare written recommendations, corporate finance materials and exhibits for pitches and live transactions.
• Conduct economic and financial research.
• Build complex financial and statistical models.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws, rules and regulations, safeguarding Citi and clients.
