Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a dedicated custodian at its McKinney, TX site to support the company headquarters and clinic facilities. You will perform routine cleaning, dusting, trash removal, and surface sanitation to maintain a clean and safe environment.

The role involves using standard cleaning equipment, following safety procedures, and possibly training other staff. The position runs 3 PM to 11 PM, Monday through Friday, with a starting pay of $16 per hour plus a $1 shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Experience using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions preferred.
• Ability to read and write the English language.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive motion for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs cleaning duties adhering to approved department procedures and standards.
• Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
• Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuums floors.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors, using cleaners, sponges and squeegees.
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
• Loads/unloads dishwashers; cleans countertop, coffee equipment, caterings and conference rooms.
• Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies; performs preventative maintenance and maintains cleaning chemicals and inventory.
• May train others and performs related work as assigned.

Position Overview

Under direction of the Company Services Supervisor, performs a broad range of custodian duties and manual work in the care and cleaning of the company headquarters building, medical clinic and/or other assigned facilities. Duties include dusting and polishing furniture, emptying trash, sweeping, cleaning surfaces and inspecting cleanliness of buildings.
