  • Own the full balance sheet and P&L, driving a rigorous month-end close process (targeting 10 days despite legacy ERP systems).
  • Oversee cost accounting and inventory management, including standard cost systems and physical inventory reconciliations.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and financial controls in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Prepare monthly internal, board, and lender reporting packages with precision and timeliness.

  • Collaborate with operations to provide data-driven insights and optimize business processes.
  • Foster a stable, motivated accounting team through strong leadership and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams (ideally 10+ people) in a remote or hybrid setting.
  • Significant responsibility in a prior role, such as Corporate Controller at a small/mid-size business or Divisional/BU Controller at a larger firm.
  • Expertise in month-end close, full balance sheet/P&L ownership, AP/AR, cost/inventory accounting, and audit coordination.
  • Strong understanding of tax and treasury functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and manage complex financial operations with legacy systems.
