Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a senior Controllership professional to lead external reporting, policy updates, and cross-functional leadership across the finance organization. The role emphasizes accurate GAAP reporting, timely close processes, and strategic partnership with senior management.

Responsibilities include driving complex projects, presenting analyses to the Audit Committee, and coaching the Corporate Controllership teams to improve talent and performance.

Qualifications

• External Reporting: accurate, complete, timely financial reporting per US GAAP and SEC rules.
• Technical Accounting and Policy: adherence to policies and timely updates for new standards.
• Leadership in projects: drive acquisitions/dispositions and complex accounting/financial reporting issues.

Responsibilities

• Global Close and Consolidations: ensure timely monthly close and consolidation with a strong global system.
• Leadership and Strategic Partnership: cross-functional collaboration with Tax, Treasury, IR, FPA, Businesses, Ops, HR, IT, Legal.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committee with insights for strategic decisions.

External Reporting:

• Ensure accurate, complete, and timely external financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant standards

Technical Accounting and Policy:

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and timely updates are evaluated and implemented as necessary to address new accounting standards and regulations
• Actively lead and be hands-on driving special projects such as acquisitions / dispositions, complex accounting and financial reporting issues or transactions

Global Close and Consolidations:

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly global close, consolidation and internal reporting exists, supported by a high-performing global consolidation system

Leadership and Strategic Partnership:

• Represent the Controllership organization cross-functionally to drive adherence with accounting and reporting requirements, high level of interaction and collaboration with other teams including Tax, Treasury, IR, FPA, Businesses, Operations, Sites, Human Resources, IT, Legal, etc.
• Provide active management and supervision to the Corporate Controllership teams with a focus on coaching and developing talent in the group
• Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and the Audit Committee, provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
